Welcome to my Dazzling Blog!

This blog was started as an experiment, a virtual journal of sorts, except just not private 😉 ENJOY!

I am the busy mother of these 4 sweet girls with a passion for loving the life God gave me! I am married to my perfect match and BEST friend, a man who works hard for his girls & in turn likes to play hard creating memories with his girls. I run a home based business, am a budding fitness enthusiast and an aspiring published writer. I find myself growing increasingly more involved in the hobbies & activities of my #DazzlingDaughters as my #4Girls chase their dreams! Needless to say, as many of you presumably are, we are always up to something new and raising these girls sure gives me my fair share of stories & experiences. Like MANY mothers and wives though, I have always struggled finding time for me! As a warrior of Mental Illness though, forgetting to prioritize me is a recipe for disaster. Valuing myself & my needs above my responsibilities is a constant challenge and because of this I have become very passionate about my 3D Vision for living. Soooooo I created this blog in 2013 because I felt a prompting from God & decided it was time to blog it out instead of perpetually, unintentionally talking the world’s ears off (as I’m told I do very well once you get me going! lol). Why did I think of a blog? Well first, as I said, I felt God prompting me to it. As scary as it seemed to me at first, it was a steady & insistent nudging that I kept receiving from Him. Also, to be honest, because some of this stuff is just too good not to share and people are forever questioning me about how I do it all, how I survive 4 daughters, how my husband and I only seem to fall more in love every day despite trials & tribulations in our almost 20 years together and all the other details of the rest of our families antics anyways!

Among my posts will be a variety of content, since we are always busy doing something, going somewhere, or making something fun! The posts will be sporadic because life will always take precedent while my littles are still little. Though my 2020 goals did include more consistent & regularly scheduled content, well Covid-19 threw all the planners out the window!

I love to plan a party, feed people and generally just entertain! My hobbies include, but are not limited to, food, good books and all things arts & crafts (well except sewing/stitching related) and I always say if I didn’t need the left side of my brain to live I wouldn’t have one (however as I get older I find myself becoming more type A and organized). I am a creative, free spirited, fun loving thinker who loves to continue learning every day that I am blessed to keep waking up. I have a past that has taken me places and shown me things I never knew God had intended for me, and though I don’t live staring out the rearview mirror of my life, I have come to value glancing in it every now and then to remind me of the challenges I have survived and thrived despite of. I have become passionate about quality self-care after realizing the absence of it entirely, can be devastating to your mind, body & spirit. I’m a storyteller and a document-er but naturally organized I am not, at least not without focused & time consuming effort being exerted.

Oh, and I am scatterbrained from time to time, absolutely!

This year marks my 38th year on this dazzling planet and after a year spent building, growing & expanding on our plans for my Dazzling Empire, there will be some exciting improvements, additions and changes going on here all year long so be sure to check back often!!!
